At Planting Promise we make a difference because of our team of dedicated volunteers.
We are always in need of volunteers in both the UK and Sierra Leone. It could be helping at one of our schools for a couple of weeks, selling Welbodi Gari on the streets of Freetown, or helping us out with fundraising, marketing or adminstration in the UK. It’s all hands on deck at Planting Promise so we are grateful for any extra help!
As an international organisation with a small team of dedicated staff, we are always open to any expertise, advice, or time you can give us. If you would like to get involved, please get in touch and start making a difference today.
We currently have partnerships between two of our schools in Sierra Leone and two London schools: The Hall School and Eleanor Palmer Primary School. The creation of new mutually beneficial links with new schools is always welcomed!
We are always very grateful for any resources donated or funds raised for our schools in Sierra Leone.
If any teachers fancy going out to volunteer in our Planting Promise schools, then we would be thrilled to have you! Our Education Director and teachers in Sierra Leone are always very excited by the presence of a UK teacher in their schools and we welcome exchange programmes.
We strive to give the children of Sierra Leone the very best opportunity in life. It only costs £120 a year to fund a child’s education.
If you like what Planting Promise does and think you can raise some money to help our work, we would be over the moon. Fundraising events could be anything – sponsored walks, marathons or cycles (for the more energetic among you), parties and bake sales – and they really make a difference.
We like to keep in touch with everyone who helps us out, so we’ll make sure you are kept up to date with our activities and the impact of your contribution!
